Herenga ā Nuku facilitates a free nationwide network of groups and trusts that make and maintain trails. The network meets via video conferencing 4 times per year. People discuss issues that they have in common, tautoko each other and offer advice.
Herenga ā Nuku’s team of regional field advisors and national office staff also support the informal network. They share their knowledge and work. They also develop resources that groups can use to help them build or maintain trails.
If your group wants to join the network or learn more, contact our partnership advisor at partners@herengaanuku.govt.nz or follow the link below.

Changes to upcoming Trailmakers Hui
As the online hui gets bigger and diverse, we will be clearer about online etiquette and what we do with your registration details. When you register for a hui, we add your email address to our mailing list so we can send a follow-up newsletter with the video links and resources discussed in the hui. You are welcome to unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.
The Trailmakers Hui are safe, interactive spaces for asking questions and sharing experiences. To build trust with our participants, we ask that conversations not be recorded or reproduced outside of the hui setting without the explicit consent and permission of the Outdoor Access Commission and the speakers involved.
From 27 August, the Commission will use Microsoft Teams, rather than Zoom, for online hui. Hui attendees will still need to register online to access the Teams link.
