Official Information Act responses
The commission is committed to open and transparent government. One of the ways we do this is by proactively publishing our responses to Official Information Act (OIA) requests.
The Official Information Act 1982 allows New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, visitors to New Zealand, and body corporates with a place of business in New Zealand the right to request official information. This promotes openness and transparency, enables greater public participation in government, and holds the Government and government agencies, such as the commission, to account.
