-
Walking
From its eastern entrance in Sawyers Bay, Grahams Bush Walkway climbs steadily through native bush, offering views of Otago Harbour and Otago Peninsula. The walkway follows a small creek through kanuka and fuchsia before reaching more mature forest, including stands of rimu and miro trees.
Grahams Bush Walkway links with the Organ Pipes Track located further along Mount Cargill Road at the walkway’s western end. The Organ Pipes are spectacular rock columns located on the side of Mount Cargill.
Conditions
No dogs.
In wet conditions, rocky sections of the track can be slippery.
How to get here
The track starts/finishes from car parks at either end: Mount Cargill Road is reached via North Road; Hall Road is off the Dunedin-Port Chalmers Road at Sawyers Bay. Both starting points are signposted.
