Enhancing access to the Kiwi outdoors
Published 2 October 2014
Organisations and individuals undertaking projects to enhance access to the outdoors are invited to apply for funding from the New Zealand Walking Access Commission's Enhanced Access Fund.
Applications for the third allocation of funding for 2014-2015 opened on Wednesday and are due by 30 November.
Commission Chief Executive Mark Neeson said $76,000 was available across four funding rounds this financial year and the Commission was keen to attract applications that show individuals, community groups and organisations working together to provide free, certain, enduring and practical outdoor access.
“Our highest priority over 2014-2015 will be initiatives that obtain new access and projects such as the installation of signs that inform the public about access opportunities.â€
